15/9/2005 - Illustration Friday: Depth

From the very depth of the sands, I give you the mythical desert whale. I could have put a little more time on this one.  I wanted to give it a more "archival" treatment, but I failed.  And I don't think it's that obvious that it's a desert.  Oh well...

Est-ce mieux comme ça?

Is it better this way?

*bavebave* woahouu! Super style, super design, super traitement.

Yet another great illustration, Denis! Your work is always such a great kick in the creative pants, so to speak... just the right thing to get the gears spinning in my head. Love the design of the whale... he's a cute little guy.

DANG! that is so awsome there Denis.

You'll have to share your painting secrets with us all one day, I think the type of brush you used and the way you used it really gave it that extra polish to make it stunning.

fan for life now.

Claude - Merci.

Jared - Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you like it.

OneSickIndividual - Thanks. And yes, they are very rare. In fact, no one has ever been able to photograph one alive.

pasto - Pff...même pas vrai. Mais merci quand même. :)

LFrankWeber - Thanks LFW. What? Reveal all my secrets?!? NEVEEEEEEEEEER!!! Well, maybe someday. :) There's nothing really special about it though. Btw, your blog is down?

Huhuh!

Emmanuelle Walker - Merci beaucoup!

Sorry for the anonymous posts, but I already mentionned in an earlier post that I will not answer those. Even if you leave your blog url.

Fabulous. As one who doesn't have deserts around him, its nice to see such a rare creature as this. All I ever get to see is those pesky ice weasles that everyone says are rare, but they're always around my house, particularly from about mid November till sometime in March, or whenever it decides to thaw out around here. Pesky critters too, always overturning my trash and draining the battery out of my vehicle, why once I think they even left their droppings on my doorstep. Problem is, cuz they're supposedly rare, I can't do anything about them, or I'll get tossed directly in the slammer, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Anyway, hope that these charming desert wales aren't like those freaking ice weasles...
