5/20/2006 - Oekakis & Dan DeCarlo appreciation

I tried doing a Dan DeCarlo on Cassiopea's pic and realised how much what I liked about his art was big bold lines and the design they made. My favorite period of his is, hands down, the 70s. Especialy the Josie books. Just everything is so appealing and god, it rocks. If only I can ever get to draw as fast as he was! I really want to make some awesome kids comics someday. I like the book they just released on him except, I'm really stuck on his 70s stuff. I can't wait for that period to be covered more extensively. I guess it's up to Archie Comics to do something about it though. Since they probably own all his work from then.
