Two Cents

Happy Friday. I think sometimes I forget just how great Fridays are, until I reach another one. I get to NOT go to work tomorrow! I get to doodle and draw stuff that I actually want to work on!! Woo hoo! Sorry, a mini rant there. I think I am just tired, and generally worn out, and it is beginning to affect my brain. Come to think of it, I am lucky to have a job at all. South of here, in the Miami area people are still without power from the last hurricane that came through. Me complaining about my life seems as silly as the NBA player I saw complaining that he would need a clothing allowance now that there is a dress code in the NBA. Perspective. We all must keep it.

Saw the new King Kong trailer last night, and felt blown away. It really made me smile to see another film by Peter Jackson where he is sticking to his guns, and putting the time and effort into doing it right. Seeing how passionate he is about the project gives me a lot of faith in the final product. I can't wait until December 14th.

On the opposite end of that spectrum...Chicken Little opens this weekend. Well, maybe that isn't fair. In fact... It isn't fair. I haven't seen the film, so how can I say anything about it. All I can say is that I have read quite a few bad reviews, and a lot of them mention my biggest fear. Bad story. I would hope that Disney would realize that it is story that drives a film, not shiny 3D animation. Well, I hope I am pleasantly surprised. And I do heard good things about there next few 3D features.

So, just a boring post. I know people hate that. I just wanted to type. Also, on a slightly odd note... my profile on this blog is messed up, and can not be changed. Not only won't it let me change that horrible introduction that I entered when I first started this thing, but is has my birthday wrong. Strange. But hey, nothings perfect. Back with art soon.
