2/5/2009 - Brer Rabbit, Kingdom Hearts style
Another recent contest over at Game Artisans: Creating a 3D character in the style of the kingdom Hearts games (including the same specs for the characters too: 3000 triangles and one 512x512 diffuse map. (We were free to use others so I used an alpha also.) Because my blog is all abotu process, not just finals, here are some making-of images:

| What beatiful rabbit. Do you work on 3dsmax ? I have the impression that the left ear doesn't look very smooth. Nevertheless your work is great ! |

| Olivier - Thanks for the note. Yes, this is all done in Max. The 2 ears are the exact same in terms of polygons and texture, although i bent the left ear down a bit to keep it from looking too symmetrical. Was it the texture or faces that you didn't think looked too smooth? Thanks for dropping by! |

Actually, as I look at your rabbit more accuracy, both its ears seem sharp. The lines are too visibilly, but it's probably because of the number of triangles you were limited ?
But as I said, I'd really enjoy beeing abole doing such beatifull artworks ! |
