7/27/2005 - Tranqulity

Just a quick one for this weeks topic. This illustration is based on a very tranquil moment I had this past week. I had been a busy week of cleaning the house and preparing for guests. Just a couple of hours before people were to arrive I realized that everything that needed doing was done. So I put a Billie Holiday record and sat down in the living room to read. (In reality I was reading a comic book but a newspaper seemed to work better for the illustration). My wife had backed a pie and the house smelled fantastic. For some reason when the house smells of food, it feels more like home to me.  Enjoy!
