5/31/2006 - Yes It's Been Awhile
There are numerous reason why I have posted in awhile, but the mostly boil down to A) computer issues and B) being really lazy. But the good news is I have a new machine at work along with my first Wacom tablet. If all works out I should become vastly more productive and my shoulder should feel better too. But enough of that how about some art. First here are some sketches I did while I was at water park on the Wisconsin Dells. This is really the first public drawing I've done in quite a long time. I got a lot of strange looks mostly from women who didn't seem to trust me. None of the sketches are too spectacular and I was rather nervous and destracted, but I think it was a step in the right direction of becoming a better artist.  Secondly, here's some fan art of Paul Griest's Jack Staff and Tommy Twister. I recently started reading JS when my wife picked up an issue at the local comic shop. I've been pretty hooked ever since. I've posted the original sketch along with an inked version. After I scanned the pencils, I noticed how wonky Jack's eyes were and fixed them before inking.
