6/13/2006 - 50th Wedding Anniversary
This november is my folks 50th wedding anniversary. I've been commissioned by my siblings to do a big family tree portrait in the cartoony style I use. I typically do my christmas cards this way and they like them. The hard part right now is that I'm the youngest of 7. Including spouses and children there's something like 25 of us. Certain people have been pretty easy but others have been a real struggle especially for the children. Above is a possible layout of the piece and below are some of the more successful of my attempts.
I'll probably posting a lot of this project as I get further along and for family members viewing this please leave your thoughts in the comments section.

| I've never been on a blog before. I really like the tree design. A great way to bring it all together. I must be a hard one. But if you make me look like K, I'll love you forever. D and P look an awful lot like you... does that mean I'm going to look like M? It looks good. The only people I'm not sure I can identify are the little ones. | I recognized Mike's kids right away. They turned out cut. Larry looks good. I presume that is me next to him. Nancy looks cute, too. I recognized Dad on the tree right away. I like the configuration of the tree. Keep up the good work. |

Thanks everyone.
Yes Drew looks a bit too much like me with a goatee. I'll work on that. I was thinking 18" x 24" for the final size. Any thoughts? Also Liz, you might want to start looking around for pricing on getting this thing printed. The place I use for work is probably going to be too pricey for such a small run. Also is everyone going to want a full sized copy or would you rather we did a large one for Mom & Dad and everyone else gets a smaller version?
