9/26/2005 - Lame Superheroes

I have a fascination with cheesy superheroes. The more obscure the better. Carl Burgos' Captain Marvel is a prime example of this. I know I'm not the only one out there so here are some fun links for those who want to read up comic books super failures.
Dial B for Blog - This is a great blog that highlights silver age covers and links them into stories.
Don Markstein's Toonopedia - A comprehensive guide to comic and cartoon characters. This is my first stop when I'm researching old comic book characters.
The International Catalogue of Superheroes - More specialized than the Toonopedia, this site lists heroes from all over the world.

And not to leave you without some art, here is Nemesis from Adventures into the Unknown. I did this as a warm up the other day and like how it turned out. I scanned it and added some colors.

Enjoy and hopefully I'll be back soon with some more fun.

8/5/2007 - other lame superheroes

If you want to see lame superheroes just watch "The Tick" animated series. Most of those superheroes are dressed in silly costumes, have silly names and no powers. I find them funny, even though I hate lame superheroes
