10/24/2005 - IF Remote

This weekend I found or was rather given The Pear-Shaped Hill by Irving Leitner with illustrations by Bernice Myers. This is my first time being exposed to Ms. Myers work and I was blown away. I haven't been able to stop looking at her art. I'm not even sure what medium she used.
Inspired by the textured illustrations, I attempted  a little homage to her style. I didn't do any sketching before and just dove into the piece. It was an interesting experiment and I learned a great deal. I hope you enjoy the results.

It has a funky tourism feel to it like it is telling me to totally get lost somewhere. Actually that sounds nice considering it is raining bucket loads outside here. Great illo. I will have to check out her work.

Nice illo and you have a lot of great work here. Really like the way that you display your pencil drawings with the coloured versions too. Very cool :)

I'm really impressed with your stuff man. You have so many talents all wrapped up into one. You can really tell you spent a lot of thought and effort into making each sketch/piece into it's own idea. What can I say man, I really enjoy your work. I will bookmark your blog and make sure I keep comin' back for more. Thanks for the coffee breaks in the morning, REALLY fun stuff.

If you get time, please check out my blog and let me know what you think. Thanks!
